iPhone X Mobile Data Usage

Issue : Since upgrading from a previous iPhone ti the iPhone X the mobile data usage has increased significantly.

Status : There is currently an open ticket with Apple for investigation into this issue, and through normal settings of disabling data usage of apps, the data appears to continue to be used.
Some people are reporting that the issue occurs only during the first few weeks of the phone purchase, and that it then settles down, but continues to be higher on mobile data usage than previous phones.
