Our helpdesk received a call from Mr. S. Claus, who wanted some help with his important deadline coming up.
His business was manufacturing/direct delivery - all year long he stays at his headquarters, in the Arctic, but once a year he travels all over the world, delivering to his clients. His old email service, provided by his ISP, was straining under the volume of email from clients (mostly children) with what they wanted in this year. He needed to change to reliable email system, able to cope with the huge number of emails and he wanted to change quickly.
We recommended a proper enterprise class email solution, either Google Apps or Office 365, with huge capacity, high reliability (99.9% SLA); Outlook compatibility, webmail, smartphone and tablet support; calendar, contacts and tasks; instant messaging; online meetings; video conferencing; account delegation; antispam and security.
We took care of managing the migration to the new system - from configuring the new accounts; changing DNS records and assisting his employees to set up their phones and tablets all whilst minimizing downtime, (Allowing Mr Claus to get on with packing his sleigh ready for his deliveries).
Within a couple of days he was up and running on his new email system. He and his employees started to really see the benefits of the enterprise features the old system lacked. With shared calendars everyone can keep up to date with the toy factory shift rota; present wrapping deadlines as well as the dates for matches in the elf squash league.
Mr Claus was really happy with the services we provided and has promised to recommend us (We are expecting a call from the Tooth Fairy next week)
